About yoga

Why Yoga at Leikeli?

Leikeli  offers you space for some time with yourself in a cozy atmosphere. A place where you can take a break from everyday life, but at the same time can integrate topics into life through yoga.

Rachel's Vinyasa Yoga classes are warm, dynamic, empowering and focused. Working with breathing, building it up, expanding it and using it for yoga practice and everyday life is a central aspect of the classes.

What is Yoga?

The meaning ofyoga is union, association and comes from the word yui, which can be translated as anbienden, anjochen. It is about the union of breath, soul, mind and body with the aim of calming the mind and thus the thoughts.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is characterized by the dynamics of the asanas (physical exercises). The asanas are combined with breathing, resulting in a flowing, creative movement. In combination with pranayama (breathing exercises) and short meditations, it not only works on the physical level, but also involves the mind. This trains the mind and supports physical and mental health. With the build-up of energy, the human being is involved as a whole and helps to achieve more calm, focus, flexibility and change.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a passive, meditative and calm yoga style. The mostly sitting or lying asanas (posture) are held for three to seven minutes.

Benefits of Yoga

  • Strengthening and stretching of the muscles

  • stress relief

  • Strengthening of self-confidence

  • Improved sleep

  • Breathing exercises strengthen the nervous system

  • enriches body with oxygen, prana

  • regulation of hormonal balance

  • positive effect on the heart and lungs

  • Stimulating digestion

  • better concentration and increased performance

Both yoga styles are aimed at beginners, advanced, curious and all those who would like to take care of their mental and physical health. The courses are organized in groups.
